Position summary
DigiCert has an opportunity for a hands-on Associate Software Engineer (QA Automation) a self-starter with experience working as an Individual contributor to test and automate web-based applications along with APIs to deliver high-quality software in production.
Responsibilities
Develop an understanding and knowledge of products/solutions, architecture and systems.
Keen on exploring and implementing automation for end-to-end integration test of UI and API.
Work with agile cross-functional team to estimate and plan development activities and timelines
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Relevant IT Degree
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages for writing automation tests, including but not limited to: Python. Java, GoLang.
Ability to devise test strategies, document test plans and test cases based on analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and design documents.
1+ years of professional experience working in the software industry.
Strong knowledge of software engineering best-practices in software design and architecture
Use of secure coding practices and methodologies.
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Effectively communicate, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
High performance individual who is persistent and self-motivated to accomplish tasks.
Detail-oriented, quick learner, and problem solver.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in Python and Cypress/Selenium.
Knowledge on RESTful data services, web services and APIs.
Knowledge in API and Web application testing.
Knowledge of continuous deployment and service-based architectures.
Knowledge of SQL queries.
Good to have Load/Performance/Security testing skills.
Good to have knowledge of using Docker.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, etc., or equivalent years of experience and formal training.
