Responsibilities
Deliver on projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables using AGILE methodologies
Contribute well tested, high throughput, scalable, and highly available code
Contribute to development of Aladdin’s global, multi-asset trading platform
Work with product management to understand requirements and translate into work items
Partner with QA teams to shift testing to the left and improve systems quality and coverage
Design and develop innovative solutions to complex problems, identifying issues and roadblocks
Qualifications
2 + years hands-on experience in Java.
Experience in building Order and Execution Management, Trading systems is recommended
Financial experience and exposure to Trading is recommended
In depth understanding of concurrent programming and experience in designing high throughput, high availability, fault tolerant distributed applications is required.
Experience in building micro services architecture / SOA
Experience in message oriented streaming middleware architecture is a plus (Kafka, MQ, NATS, AMPS)
Experience with orchestration, containerization, and building cloud native applications (AWS, Azure) is a plus
Experience with modern web technology such as Angular, React, TypeScript a plus
Strong analytical and software architecture design skills with an emphasis on test driven development.
Experience in programming languages such as Scala, python would be a plus.
Expected to drive growth of the trading platform through performance, stability, usability and new investment product capabilities
Effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) required
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or engineering preferred
