The High Frequency Measurements Center of Excellence (HFM COE) develops and produces the world’s highest performance signal generators, signal analyzers, network analyzers, power meters and modular systems to create and analyze wireless signals.
The HFM COE has an opening as a R&D SW QA Engineer in Gurugram, India as part of our Worldwide Software Engineering Processes (SEP) Team.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for the testing activities required to qualify HFM instruments and software products.
The engineer could be responsible for designing/implementing software that controls measurement instruments, processes data, presents the measurement results, and automates the full product qualification. For this assignment/role, the candidate will require proven ability to learn in the field of engineering, particularly with regard to RF/uW engineering and signal modulation/demodulation, telecommunication systems, signal processing and software development. The candidate will be required to develop test code under Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation, or Git using C#/.NET and to drive improvements across all SW teams to shorten time-to-market.
In this position, you could also assist with the design and development of SW tools, test architectures, processes and best practices to accelerate the qualification of HFM instruments and software products. For this assignment/role, the candidate will require strong knowledge of Object Oriented design concepts and design patterns, knowledge of programming languages like C#, Python, C++ and knowledge of SQL database and query design. You will work with engineers within the Worldwide SEP community and product development teams to identify and address opportunities to improve upon current test coverage, methodologies and processes.
Both assignments/roles will require someone with an Agile development mindset, along with a passion for improving our product quality and representing our customers. You will work with cross functional teams to solve complex problems with the goal to accelerate release of reliable software into the high frequency marketplace.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
Experience working with measurement instruments like Signal Analyzer, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes etc.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience in programming languages like C++, C#, Python etc.
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation, or Git.
Experience in SW test, SW test paradigms, software development best-practices
Strong analytical ability, able to present data, solve problems, and come up with creative solutions.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with a collaborative working style.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of RF and microwave signal generation and measurement analysis applications and wireless technologies.
Conceptual understanding of analog, digital communications like modulation schemes, ACPR, EVM, FFT etc.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and modern software development and testing practices such as Agile development.
Experience in .NET development and Windows Application development using WPF.
Experience in website development with HTML, ASP.NET, JavaScript and/or similar technologies
Knowledge of SQL database and query design
