Minimum qualifications: •

4 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer. •

Experience with one or more of the following: C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl and/or Ruby etc. • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration or networking.

• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering, System Design, and Distributed Computing. Preferred qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

• Systematic problem-solving approach, with excellent communication skills and sense of drive. About The Job Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google Cloud’s services—both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer’s needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance. Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. On the SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to Google Cloud, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. Responsibilities • Works with Google Cloud’s customers, improving their reliability experience through preventing incidents from happening. • Participate in engineering improvements in our ability to detect incidents faster, and triage them more quickly and resolve them sooner. • Work with customers on reliability issues.

• Drive changes to Google Cloud Platform’s (GCP) reliability that customers need.

• Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering teams and Google Cloud support on customer’s most critical issues.
