Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in Data Center Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Experience building wide-reaching distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional process improvements, using analytical and communication/facilitation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels.
  • Ability to complete quantitative assessment and analysis across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Ability to identify and implement processes, manage large, complex, strategic, and operational initiatives, shift between detailed analysis and big picture thinking, and customize communications based on the audience.

As a program manager for Cloud Capacity Planning team, you will use your technical capabilities, business acumen, and creativity to enable decision-making for Cloud leadership. You will do this by working closely Software Engineers, Sales Operations, Finance, Site Reliability Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to develop scalable fleet management processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$203,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Plan for supply, demand, and optimize supply-demand matching in partnership with internal product teams to ensure Google Cloud Platforms external customers can scale by ensuring the right type of machines are available in the right place at the right time.
  • Build and deliver benefits for business cases through excellence in project management across Site Reliability Engineers, Developers, Program Managers, Supply Chain, and Planning and Efficiency teams.
  • Align capacity and financial plans with business goals of the product team.
  • Create a future roadmap for programs around efficiency and long term planning, including building the necessary key performance indicators to track, manage, and report status and progress.
